Mason Johannes
Born and raised in western Shawnee, Kansas, Mason attended Baker University on a bowling scholarship and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Accounting. She went on to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where she earned her J.D. with an emphasis in Family Law.
While in law school, Mason interned for the Honorable Keven O’Grady in Johnson County, Kansas, where she gained valuable insight into the judicial process and developed an understanding of how family law matters are evaluated from the Court’s perspective. She also gained hands-on experience representing clients through UMKC’s Child and Family Services Clinic. Her time in the Clinic reinforced her passion for family law and taught her the importance of listening to clients, understanding their unique circumstances, and providing clear guidance during difficult and emotional situations. In recognition of her service and dedication to the Clinic and the families it serves, Mason received the Mary Kay O’Malley Family Law Award. She joined Fisher Law as a law clerk in May 2025 before continuing with the firm as an Associate Attorney.
Mason has long had a passion for serving her community, including working with Johnson County’s Youth Court Program and volunteering as a reading mentor with Lead to Read KC. She brings that same commitment to her clients, along with a positive outlook and a willingness to find creative solutions to difficult problems.
Outside of the office, Mason enjoys cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, baking, reading a book – or three – and spending time with friends and family, especially her nieces and nephews. As a lifelong Kansas City-area native, she is proud to serve families in the community she has always called home.
